StoreHub is an established POS with delivery and loyalty built in. Aurago's till shares one set of records with your books and payroll. Compared side by side.

StoreHub is one of the best-known POS systems in Malaysia, used by restaurants, retailers and service businesses across Southeast Asia. Aurago is newer, and its till is one part of a bigger system: the same records hold your invoices, your books, your stock and your payroll.

Both will ring up a sale, print a receipt and keep count of stock. What separates them is how you pay for them, what you still need alongside the POS, and how much of the business you want in one place.

Aurago wrote this comparison. Every figure about StoreHub links to where we read it, on 25 September 2026, and where StoreHub is ahead, we say so.

The short answer

  • Choose StoreHub if you want an established POS with its own delivery platform, SMS marketing and support every day, holidays included — and you're happy to keep accounting and payroll in separate software.
  • Choose Aurago if you want the till, accounts, payroll and attendance on one set of records, on a monthly bill that follows your headcount rather than a 12- to 36-month plan.

What each one costs

StoreHub publishes starting prices: Starter from RM 122 a month, Advanced from RM 235 and Pro from RM 471. Its pricing page shows 12-, 24- and 36-month plans, with 2, 12 or 24 months added free for the longer commitment, and multi-location management starts on Advanced. Hardware is sold separately, and StoreHub's own pricing FAQ says charges for extras such as SMS marketing, delivery and payments are set out in your quote. Accounting software and payroll are separate costs as well.

Aurago's price list is published too, and every plan includes everything: the till, stock, accounting, invoicing and e-Invoice, payroll, attendance and leave, projects and team chat.

Prices are in ringgit and exclude 8% SST. Four rules make the bill predictable:

  • Tills and outlets don't change the price. A second outlet or a fourth till costs nothing; your headcount decides the plan.
  • Headcount is counted every day. Above your plan's allowance, someone who joins on the 15th costs half a month, and someone who leaves on the 15th saves half a month.
  • You're billed the cheapest plan that fits, whichever one you chose.
  • The first billing period is free, without a card, and ends with a real RM 0.00 invoice showing what it would have cost.

The fairest comparison is the whole bill: add up StoreHub's plan, your accounting software and your payroll tool, and set that against one Aurago plan for the same team.

Where StoreHub is stronger

  • Track record and support. StoreHub says more than 20,000 businesses across Southeast Asia use it, and it offers support every day, holidays included. Aurago is newer and smaller.
  • Delivery and marketplaces. Beep is StoreHub's own delivery platform, and StoreHub connects to Shopee. Aurago has neither.
  • SMS marketing. StoreHub's Engage sends SMS campaigns, and its pricing FAQ lists SMS marketing among the extras in your quote. Aurago's customer messages — birthday offers, points about to expire, a "we miss you" to regulars who stop coming, and your own announcements — go by email and in the Aurago app, not by SMS or WhatsApp.

Where Aurago is different

Your takings land in your own books. Switch posting on and each trading day becomes one journal per outlet: sales net of SST, the SST you owe, each payment method to its account, HitPay's fees, tips owed to staff, and the cost of what you sold against your stock. Your accountant chooses the accounts, and per-receipt posting is there if your auditor asks for it. There is no export, so there is no second system to reconcile against. StoreHub sends your sales to Xero, QuickBooks Online, ABSS or Financio; Aurago keeps the ledger itself, beside your invoices, bills and bank reconciliation.

Payroll, not just timesheets. StoreHub's timesheets record hours on the register and export them for payroll. Aurago runs the payroll: staff clock in on their phones inside a geofence, shifts, leave and overtime flow into the pay run, and it works out EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB and produces EA forms.

A monthly bill that follows your team. There's no 12- to 36-month plan. Outlets and tills don't change the price, and the first billing period is free.

A till that fits the trade. Beyond cafés, restaurants and shops, the same till takes appointments for salons and clinics, deposits for rentals, time sold by the hour for courts and gaming cafés, goods sold by weight, and repair jobs taken in over the counter.

Which should you choose?

Choose StoreHub if you want a proven POS with its own delivery platform, SMS marketing and support every day, and you're comfortable paying for accounting and payroll separately.

Choose Aurago if you want one system for the counter and the back office — the till, the stock, the books, payroll and attendance — on one monthly bill that follows your team. If you run a restaurant, see how StoreHub, FeedMe and Aurago compare for hotpot, or read Aurago vs FeedMe.

Questions

Is Aurago cheaper than StoreHub?

Compare the whole bill. StoreHub's published plans start at RM 122 a month for the POS, on 12- to 36-month terms, with accounting software and payroll on top. Aurago starts at RM 49 a month, is RM 89 for a team of ten, is billed monthly, and includes accounting and payroll.

Can Aurago run more than one outlet?

Yes, on every plan. Each outlet has its own tills, stock and day-end; stock and staff can move between outlets; and reports roll up or filter by outlet. Adding an outlet doesn't change the price.

Does Aurago have loyalty like StoreHub?

Aurago has membership cards, loyalty points that customers spend as money off at the till, rewards, vouchers, and fourteen kinds of promotion, from buy-one-get-one to happy hours. It also messages the customers who agreed to hear from you — birthday offers, points about to expire, a "we miss you" to regulars who stop coming, and your own announcements — by email and in the Aurago app. It doesn't send SMS, and it doesn't have a delivery platform of its own.

Does Aurago issue e-Invoices for till receipts?

Yes. Switch it on and each receipt can carry a QR code: the customer scans it, fills in their details and gets their e-Invoice by email once LHDN validates it — or the cashier issues one at the counter. Receipts nobody asks about are filed together as one consolidated e-Invoice in the first seven days of the next month, as LHDN requires, and a refund on an e-Invoiced receipt gets a refund note. Aurago submits to MyInvois with your own LHDN credentials. Since 1 September 2026, businesses with annual revenue under RM 3 million are exempt from e-Invoice, subject to LHDN's conditions on group ownership (The Star). Ask your accountant whether that includes you.

Can I keep my current iPad and printer?

Aurago runs on iPad, iPhone and Android devices and prints to Bluetooth (BLE) or network thermal printers, or to the printer built into a Sunmi or iMin terminal. A printer that only speaks classic Bluetooth needs a network print box. Tell us your models and we'll check them.

Does Aurago do payroll for Malaysia?

Yes. It works out EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB, produces EA forms, and takes hours from the same clock-ins, shifts and leave records as the rest of the system.
